Jean-Philippe is a private client lawyer for HNW individuals, international families, and family businesses. He specialises in residency and citizenship law, international tax, trust and estate planning, family office structuring, family business governance, and international asset protection.

Dr Maria Chetcuti Cauchi B.A., LL.M.(Warwick), LL.D., TEP

Senior Partner, Property & Projects

Maria heads the Property and Projects practice as well as the Intellectual Property & ICT Practice of the firm. Specific to real estate work, Maria and her team have handled investment projects, buy-to-let proposals and leasing & student accommodation matters for local and international clients. Maria has also represented various international brand owners and generic pharma companies in their investment in Malta and has worked on specific IP structuring plans and IP protection projects.  

 

Dr Priscilla Mifsud Parker B.A., M.A.(Fin.Serv.), LL.D., TEP

Senior Partner, Corporate, Tax & Immigration

Priscilla is a private client lawyer who heads the Families & Wealth and Corporate, Trusts & Fintech practice groups at Chetcuti Cauchi. She specialises in wealth structuring and preservation for business families and high net worth individuals and cooperates with legal and tax advisors worldwide to plan, set up and maintain corporate structure representing an international footprint. Priscilla also advises on residence and citizenship.

Dr Charlene Mifsud B.A., LL.D.

Partner, Corporate & Commercial

Charlene heads the corporate and commercial legal team within the firm. She has been actively involved for the past ten years in Corporate Law, Property Conveyancing, Employment Relations and General Commercial law.

Dr Natasha Cachia B.A., M.A. (Fin. Serv)., LL.D.

Partner, Risk & Compliance

Natasha currently specialises in risk advisory services, including areas related to AML and CFT Legislation, Sanctions Advisory Services, as well as regulatory areas.  Natasha also has a strong work experience in the International Business, as well as the CSP and Trustee industries.

Dr Antoine Saliba Haig B.A., LL.D.

Senior Lawyer

Antoine has written his thesis on Malta's Individual Investor Program and the Maltese Citizenship Act. He has assisted a number of the firm's clients qualify for Maltese citizenship under the Individual Investor Programme as well as other routes to citizenship by naturalisation.

Magdalena’s professional focus revolves mainly around the international private clients practice, applying personalized yet holistic approach when identifying relocation solutions to numerous HNWI’s, their families and businesses.  Expanding her main area of expertise and practise in the field of personal taxation, frequently with an international context, Magdalena can provide a comprehensive advice to international clients on how to position their personal and business affairs in Malta.  Magdalena’s niche is the field of personal tax residence. 

Marina Magri Cert. Tax, B.A., LL.M, CAMS

Senior Lawyer

Marina is a senior lawyer within the firm’s private clients and tax practice. She has assisted numerous high net worth individuals in various sectors such as investments, immigration, tax planning, wealth structuring and compliance. Marina makes use of her years of experience in international expertise to assure a high level of client satisfaction.

Dr Anna Sultana LL.B (HONS), M.Adv (Melit)

Associate

Anna is a Lawyer at Chetcuti Cauchi Advocates and forms part of the Tax and Immigration Unit. Anna focuses on advising international HNWI from Maltese tax and immigration perspective.  Anna’s researching function continues to be instrumental within the Unit.  As a an area of specialisation, Anna focuses on advising digital nomads on their personal tax and relocation requirements, aligning clients’ objectives with the Maltese legislation and related programs, such as the Malta Nomad Residency Programme.
 

Olena Halahan LL.M

Lawyer

Olena has written her thesis on "Changes in Regulatory Framework as a breach of Fair and Equitable Treatment in Investment Law" and wrote several publications on free movement of workers in the EU.  With a specialization in investment migration, she ensures that our clients receive the highest level of professional assistance and guidance, allowing us to provide top-notch representation for their legal needs.

Wojtek Gadzała

Wojtek has significant expertise in advising both corporate and personal clients on Malta taxation. Wojtek specialises in assisting international clients with  cross-border tax planning, particularly inlight of several EU directives in this area as well as tax-oriented business matters.

Luana forms part of the corporate and commercial legal team within the firm. Having focused on civil and commercial law matters in her dissertation as well as having experience in civil and commercial law matters and litigation, Luana assists and advises clients in their commercial transactions and civil law matters. 

Dr Susanna Grech Deguara LL.B (Hons), M.Adv (Melit)

Senior Associate

Having a keen interest in technology and innovation, Susanna has written her thesis on the Legal Implications of Domain Names. She assists clients obtaining and protecting their intellectual property and guides start-ups navigate through legal challenges. 

David Farrugia

Senior Tax Officer

Within the Tax and Immigration Team of the firm, David assists HNW private clients who choose to relocate to Malta, with the different immigration and relocation processes involved, as well as with their tax and compliance obligations. 
David also co-ordinates and oversees the private clients' personal billing files and assists with the maintenance of the clients' accounts with the firm.

Tetiana Iurchenko B.A., LL.M.

Senior Compliance Officer

Tetiana occupies the position of Senior Compliance Officer. Tetiana’s expertise is AML, regulatory compliance and risk advisory.  

Naomi Galea LL.B. (Hons.) (Melit.)

Legal Trainee

Naomi provides support within the tax practice in advising and assisting both corporate and personal clients on legal, tax and immigration matters. Naomi's contribution to the Research and Development within the unit continues to be instrumental within the Team.

Martina Cassar

Legal Trainee

Martina supports the corporate servicing unit and supports our clients in maintaining the legal responsibilities of their Maltese companies. Additionally, she assists the team's research and development endeavors in areas including company organisation, EU regulations, compliance obligations, and other emerging areas of corporate law.

Luke Bonnici LL.B. (Hons.)

Legal Intern

Luke assists the Tax and Immigration Unit at Chetcuti Cauchi Advocates, aiding the Team in providing client advice on both personal and corporate matters. Luke also contributes to the department's ongoing research and development, particularly in contemporary reforms in both EU and international taxation.

Nicole is a Trainee Associate at Chetcuti Cauchi Advocates and forms part of the Commercial and Civil Law Department. She is actively involved in Commercial Law, Private Civil Law, and Property Conveyancing.

Matthew is responsible for defining and overseeing the development and long term commercial strategies of the firm. He is responsible for creating and implementing objectives and goals, managing department and employee growth and ensuring that the optimum level of client satisfaction is met in all stages of the engagement and service process.

Mr Gilbert Bonnici B. Accountancy (Hons), CPA, FIA

Chief Finance Officer

Gilbert is in charge of spearheading the firm's financial management across all offices in the face of sustained growth and internationalisation.  A certified public accountant and auditor, Gilbert hails from big 4 accounting practices in Malta and abroad.

Mr Steve Muscat Azzopardi TEP, MIFSP

Director, Trust & Corporate Services

Steve and his team advise International clients on setting up their wealth structure or business operations and licensing requirements in different jurisdictions, and continue to support them thereafter. Steve brings to the table over fifteen years of international experience in the financial services industry which led to his expertise in advising blockchain-based businesses, including ICO, STO, crypto exchanges and other crypto service providers.

Corporate Services Manager

Joanna and her team assist international clients with the structuring, set up and administration of companies and trusts in different jurisdictions. Joanna is currently responsible for organizing the day-to-day running of the Corporate Servicing Team and for ensuring that clients expectations are surpassed.

Corporate Compliance Executive

After completing her studies, Justine started a program with HSBC Malta which led her to a career with the bank including some years in the West End area in the UK and St James Premier Center. Following a successful 10 years in retail bankings.

Alexandra is a Corporate Officer that manages a diverse portfolio of international clients and assists them to register companies and ongoing corporate maintenance.

Sabrina Damato

Senior Billing Executive

Sabrina joined the company in 2011 as a receptionist and 6 months later she joined the Billing Client Relations Department. Over 10 years of experience, Sabrina now handles the billing portfolio of all the corporate clients.

Brian Zammit

Client Accounts Manager

Brian manages the Billing and Credit Control team of the firm and works closely with the firm's Finance Department on accounting matters and internal controls and processes.

Daniela Musumarra

Senior Client Relationship Officer

Daniela has been managing a relevant portfolio of clients in multidisciplinary areas of services within the firm acting as credit controller.

Paul Ellul

General Operations Manager

Paul, together with his team,  handles the running of Front Desk, Administration, Housekeeping, Support, and Property Logistics, ensuring the smooth operations and Property Logistics, ensuring the smooth operations and wellbeing of employees and clients alike.

Yana Graham

HR Manager

Yana is a Human Resources professional at Chetcuti Cauchi, manages the HR function and ensures that main HR areas including Talent Management, Training and Development, Performance Management, HR Compliance and Payroll run smoothly and effectively. Yana also serves as a point of contact for all employee levels, offering them guidance and support. 

Claudia Galea

HR Executive, H & S Officer

Claudia combines her role as HR Executive with that of Health & Safety Officer.  Whilst handling the HR operations of the firm, Claudia ensures that Health and Safety policies are implemented and staff are regularly trained and briefed on the subject ensuring everyone's wellbeing.
