Dr. Michaela Millo

Bio
Dr Michaela Millo is a Maltese-qualified lawyer forming part of the firm’s Immigration & Global Mobility practice, where she advises individual and family clients on residence, citizenship and migration-led structuring into Malta.
Her work focuses on regulated immigration pathways, including the Malta Permanent Residence Programme and citizenship by naturalisation for exceptional services, with close attention to eligibility, compliance and procedural accuracy. She works alongside multidisciplinary teams handling due diligence, documentation and regulatory submissions, ensuring that applications are both technically sound and defensible from a compliance perspective.
Experience
Dr Millo was admitted to the Maltese Bar following completion of her LL.B. (Hons.) and Master of Advocacy degrees at the University of Malta. Prior to joining Chetcuti Cauchi, she built hands‑on experience in immigration and citizenship advisory work, including direct involvement with residence, citizenship and investment‑based migration applications.
Her professional background includes advising on Malta Permanent Residence Programme submissions, citizenship applications under Malta’s naturalisation framework, nomad residence permits and work permits. She has also assisted in the drafting of internal compliance documentation, including AML policies, risk assessments and supporting due diligence processes linked to immigration files. This combination of regulatory and operational exposure underpins her methodical approach to investor migration matters.
