The Malta Residence Programme is a popular path to residence in Malta open to EU citizens and their family members wishing to obtain Maltese Residency and a preferential tax rate of 15% on income remitted to Malta. Under the Malta TRP, residence permit holders are allowed to live in Malta all the year round but without imposing a minimum number of days in Malta.
The Residence Programme builds on the success of Malta’s reputation in attracting expatriates seeking an alternative residence base in a warm Mediterranean Island in the European Union.
