Charlene Mifsud is a Partner at Chetcuti Cauchi Advocates, leading the firm’s Property & Real Estate Law practice. She advises high-net-worth individuals, families, and international investors on all aspects of property acquisition, investment, and development in Malta. With a multi-disciplinary background spanning property, private client, and commercial law, Charlene brings a strategic perspective to complex transactions, ensuring that clients’ real-estate interests are seamlessly integrated with their residency, tax, and succession objectives.
Charlene heads the corporate and commercial legal team within the firm. She has been actively involved for the past ten years in Corporate Law, Property Conveyancing, Employment Relations, General Commercial law, Mergers & Acquisitions, Commercial Property, Contract law, Business incentives, Trade, and Commercial law.
Experience
Charlene has extensive experience in Malta property law and real-estate transactions, representing both local and international clients in residential, commercial, and investment property deals. Her expertise covers property conveyancing, title due diligence, drafting and negotiation of sale and lease agreements, development projects, and property financing. She is especially active in cross-border property acquisitions linked to residency and citizenship-by-investment programmes, where she coordinates closely with the firm’s tax and immigration teams to deliver fully compliant, tax-efficient acquisition structures.
