For the second meet up of the SHE legal series, we had the pleasure of hosting an insightful workshop on “Drafting Contracts & Agreements” a tour Valletta office, in the prestigious Sala Nobile, providing attendees with valuable insights into the critical elements of contract drafting.
Key Event Highlights
The workshop was led by two of our Senior Associates, Dr. Luana Cuschieri, an expert in Civil & Commercial Law, and Dr. Susanna Grech Deguara, a specialist in Intellectual Property (IP) Law and a trusted consultant for start-ups. Together, they shared their in-depth knowledge on drafting robust and enforceable contracts, offering participants practical advice to navigate the often-complex legal landscape of business agreements.
The session covered key components of contracts, such as the importance of establishing clear consent, selecting the appropriate jurisdiction, and including well-drafted indemnity and termination clauses. Both speakers highlighted the significance of these clauses in protecting businesses from unnecessary legal risks.
In addition, the workshop touched on the three essential contracts that every business should have:
- Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA)
