Gift of Time: CC Teams Volunteer with BirdLife Malta

At CC, our Gift of Time initiative gives our people the opportunity to step away from their everyday roles and dedicate their time to organisations and causes within the Maltese community.

As part of the initiative, members of our Operations and Compliance teams volunteered with BirdLife Malta, supporting practical activities at one of its nature reserves.

The experience included hands-on environmental work such as building insect homes, painting outdoor furniture and helping remove invasive alien species. The team also toured the nature reserve to gain a better understanding of its environment and management.

Beyond the practical work, our colleagues were able to contribute in another way: by experiencing the reserve as visitors and providing feedback on the overall visitor journey, including ideas for potential improvements.

Gift of Time is a CC employee volunteering initiative that encourages our teams to dedicate time to supporting local charities, NGOs and community organisations in Malta. Through activities such as our collaboration with BirdLife Malta, our people can contribute their time, skills and energy while experiencing the impact of local organisations first-hand.

For our Operations and Compliance teams, the day with BirdLife Malta brought together employee volunteering, environmental responsibility and teamwork, while providing an opportunity to make a practical contribution to Malta’s natural environment.

Because sometimes the most valuable thing we can give is our time.
