A redundant shipbuilding wil soon be transformed into a new marina suitable yachts, super yachts, small to medium sized seacraft as well as other types of vessels. In addition, this private venture will also comprise a myriad of services whic range from maintenance and modification of vessels to quaying to legal and arbitration services. Blending the strategical geographical location together with its ever expanding shipping industry, Malta has grasped the opportunity to convert a redundant shipbuilding facility into an International Maritime Hub. This prospect will indisputably encourage international investors to contribute towards Malta’s great potential in providing services including financial and legal services. The inclusion of a Maritime School is likewise a desirable project by the Government but, which ultimately hinges on the input which interested private companies realizing the prospect intend to yield.
