Tax credits announced for companies contributing to the production of local films

The Malta Film Commission has announced tax credits of 150% which will be available to companies that contribute to the production of local films as well as training initiatives in connection with the expansion of the film industry in Malta. The incentive will be in the form of a 150% tax deduction. 

 Funding applicable to develoopment and production is also available. The Film Commission together with the Malta Arts Council will be responsible for the allocation of grants and a jury of independent experts including professionals and academics involved in the film industry in Malta will evaluate the applications. The Malta Film Fund has a total allocation of EUR 250,000.
