Last week, members of the Executive Committee of the Tunisian-Maltese Business Council met with the Ambassador of Tunisia, Ms. Souad Gueblaoui, to discuss, among other things, how to make the most of business opportunities and how to optimise trading activities.

The meeting developed into talks for an upcoming business delegation to Tunisia in June which would be held in collaboration with Malta Enterprise. The idea was that the Tunisian Business Council and Malta Enterprise approach regional chambers in Tunisia so as to get to the root of any business concerns.

H.E. Ms. Gueblaoui also expressed the idea of establishing a direct ferry connection between Malta and Tunisia as this would greatly enhance and facilitate trade and tourism.

Indeed, “Business Councils are an effective vehicle to assist companies in their internationalisation efforts,” as Malta Chamber President, Tancred Tabone has previously affirmed.
