Dr Silvana Zammit's delivery on 24/01/2011 on practical considerations for prospective Maltese licensees considering setting up in Malta, was very well attended and positively received by the attendees. Dr Zammit is Head of iGaming Unit at Chetcuti Cauchi Advocates, Malta.

Dr Zammit covered all the stages related to the attainment of a license in Malta as well as the compliance processes and procedures that prospective licensees should follow in order to keep their license in good standing. Dr Zammit detailed the regulatory and anti-money laundering requirements under Maltese law and gave a very detailed synopsis of the advantageous of obtaining a Maltese license.

Dr Zammit also tackled technical requirements related to setting up an office in Malta, co-locating servers within our shores as well as recruiting personnel in Malta. The control system requirements, as well as accounting procedures under Maltese law, were explained in a lot of detail.
