The 10th Biennial International Bar Association Global Immigration Conference will be held in London between the 30th of November and 2nd of December 2022. Our Managing Partner Dr Jean Philippe Chetcuti and Senior Lawyer Dr Antoine Saliba Haig will be attending on behalf of Chetcuti Cauchi Advocates.
The International Bar Association
The IBA was established in 1974 with the aim of creating a forum for the world’s bar associations. Over time, it has developed from an association made up exclusively of bar associations to one that incorporates individual lawyers and law firms. Currently, the International Bar Association is comprised of more than 80,000 lawyers spanning more than 170 countries.
IBA Immigration Conference Agenda
The conference will bring attorneys and solicitors from all over the world and several topics will be discussed, including:
- The quest for talent, acquiring nationalities and residencies by investment
- The rise of populism and nationalism
- Artificial Intelligence and Technology
- The Ukraine war and refuges
- Famine and epidemic
- Immigration issues relating from climate
- Global Mobility Trends
Dr Jean Philippe Chetcuti was invited to be a speaker to discuss recent developments in the investment migration sphere including an overview of naturalisation routes, legislative changes to domestic immigration law and due diligence regulations covering such areas. He will be joined by fellow immigration lawyers and advisors:
