Basis: FullTime

The primary role of the tax officer is to provide support in handholding high net worth clients through the process of applying for residence in Malta, as well as handling annual obligations and ongoing support. Such role also involves assistance with the process of applying for tax residence certificates and the issuance of bills as required.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Handholding clients through the whole process of preparing documentation, applying for residence, file submission and card collection
  • Assisting clients with the process of tax registration and annual obligations including tax return preparation and compliance documentation submission where applicable
  • Liaising with local immigration and tax authorities, on behalf of clients
  • Issuance and sending of bills as required
  • Organisation of tax payments and personal tax return submissions on behalf of clients
  • Collection, organisation and administrative support in relation to tax residence certificate applications
  • Updating the company database with all the records relating to requests, updating interactions, as per company procedures
  • Assistance with the preparation of reports and projects as required

Key Attributes

  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook/Office, CRM database and information systems
  • Mature and independent
  • Previous tax experience considered an asset
  • Client oriented and problem-solving approach
  • Organized
  • Experience in dealing with clients
