On 27th September 2013, Liechtenstein and Malta signed a double tax treaty - the first tax agreement between this two countries. The treaty was signed in New York during a visit by the ministers of Foreign Affairs to the 68th session of the General Assembly of the UN. The double tax treaty awaits ratification.
