At Chetcuti Cauchi we are currently assisting a Maltese company in acquiring different properties, in particular old historical buildings within the limits of Valletta, with the intention of restructuring them into modern residences and offices. Our lawyers and in-house architects worked extensively on the maintenance and conservation projects. Besides the regular negotiations for the purchase of the properties, we were also involved in various enquiries and discussions with the Maltese authorities.

Chetcuti Cauchi is involved in an ongoing project of a high net worth Maltese company in the acquisition and management of a block of both residential and commercial premises. We have successfully achieved an agreement for the purchase of the block and are now in the process of the final deed. Meanwhile, our architects and collaborators are providing extensive consultation on the development planning of the same block.

Chetcuti Cauchi’s Intellectual Property team assisted a well recognised beverage corporation with the acquisition of the Intellectual Property rights with respect to a well known local beverage multinational. The firm assisted the company throughout the negotiation stages with the local brand, drafted the necessary contractual agreements and handled the consequent procedures indispensable for the local authorities to finalise the transfer of the Intellectual Property.

Chetcuti Cauchi was engaged by a Swiss fiduciary services company on behalf of a client, in order to advise on the most efficient holding structure for a major touristic project in Turkey.

Chetcuti Cauchi has acted for a publicly listed company on the stock exchange in Poland that has a major shareholding in a company set up in Malta. The management board of the Malta company has found itself in a difficult situation with one of the directors acting in breach of duty when representing the company. Our firm has found a practical solution to this problem and also guided the client on shareholder remedies.
