	Malta Contributes to the Combat of Maritime Piracy \| 17/05/2012
	Malta maritime security: in an effort to increase maritime security Malta is considering the option of increasing its contribution to Operation Atlanta, that is, the European Union (EU) martitme anti-piracy mission off the Somali coast. This after the EU as announced that the operation shall be extended for another two years till 2014.

	Wider Possibilities for EU Citizens Wanting to Register Their Vessels Under the Malta Flag \| 17/05/2012
	More EU citizens are expected to choose the Malta flag for their ships/ yachts in view of the recent amendments allowing EU citizens residing in Malta to register their vessels directly under their ownership without the need to appoint a resident agent, who is generally appointed for reasons of representation and daily administration relating to the vessel.

Malta a transshipment hub: the Malta Freeport has recently experienced the largest car transshipment operation of its type to occur in Malta when approximately 2,400 vehicles were released in its terminals. This continued to confirm the excellent international reputation of the Malta Freeport facilities which facilities are being chosen by large international cargo transportation companies and cargo transport service providers.

AUL Network Conference, Paris | 26/04/2012

Between the 26th and the 27th of April Chetcuti Cauchi Advocates will be attending the AUL Network conference in Paris, highlighting Malta’s attractions as a domicile for insurance business and captives in particular.
