We have provided expert advice to an Italian owned firm in relation to the obtainment of an exemption from the requirement to obtain regulatory authorisation from the MFSA. Our submissions, which issued the exemption to the business, were approved by the MFSA, thus allowing the firm to move forward with the expansion and continuation of its business without unnecessary regulatory burdens.
Our firm has recently assisted with the setting up of a local company, which offers an important service in relation to the photovoltaic energy market. We have assisted the company in the formation of this business, including licensing and compliance issues. Concrete plans are in place for the company to further expand the business globally.
Our Financial Services team has advised and project managed the formation of Malta's first professional investor fund (PIF) in the form of a Unit Trust. We have assisted with all aspects of the authorisation process, drafting the appropriate documentation, and helping various service providers involved in the project.
