Prime Minister Dr. Joseph Muscat has announced that the Permanent Residence Scheme will be re-launched by the end of May. Details on the scheme are still to be announced.
Dr. Muscat also said that the goverment is working on facilitating the compliance procedure for foreign individuals registering and applying for residence in Malta. To this effect, a Commissioner for the simplification of rules shall be appointed in order to reduce bureaucracy.
